Transport Planner – Purfleet
Due to increased growth in the business, we are looking for an individual to join our fast paced team as a Transport Planner based at our Purfleet depot.
The role entails the efficient planning of our drivers delivery schedule and updating plans to fit the business’s needs.
Salary: From £32,000-£38,000 per annum (based on experience)
Type: Full time – OFFICE BASED ONLY

Key Responsibilities include:
· Manage the delivery operation process efficiently from order acceptance to order invoice
· Daily input of KPI’s, delivery and collection issues, preparing paperwork
· Prioritise workload and deal with a demanding transport plan, planning for multiple customers for next day and same day deliveries
· Meet transport legislation commitments
· Promote, and adhere to, good health and safety practices.
· Monitor fleet maintenance requirements and liaise with our Fleet Department
· Continue own personal development to keep abreast of technical, legal and training best practice
· Liaise with Customers to help facilitate best practice for them
Skills and Competency: :
- Previous experience as a Transport Planner role essential (experience in fuels industry desirable)
- Experience working in a busy Transport office
· Quality organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks using your own initiative at the same time
- Strong communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal
· Knowledge of the WTD, Drivers Hours, Tachograph and Transport legislation
- Ability to prioritize own workload but also be able to work as part of a team
- Must have an analytical skill, with a high level of attention to detail
- Conversant in IT skills e.g., Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and CRM systems.
