Reynolds Logistics and Luxfer Partner to Advance Hydrogen Transport Infrastructure for the HyHaul Project

Reynolds Logistics is thrilled to announce our strategic partnership with Luxfer Gas Cylinders for the HyHaul project, the UK’s most ambitious hydrogen mobility initiative. 🌍💚

We’re investing in Multiple Element Gas Containers (MEGCs) to support the deployment of zero-emission hydrogen refuelling infrastructure and logistics. This marks a significant milestone in our commitment to the hydrogen economy and the UK’s net-zero ambitions. 🌱

Our initial order includes four 40ft MEGCs with an order value of circa £3M, with plans for phased expansion. These containers will be crucial in transporting compressed hydrogen safely and efficiently across the UK. 🚛💨

“This partnership with Luxfer is a cornerstone of our commitment to enabling the hydrogen economy,” said Andrew Reynolds, CEO at Reynolds Logistics. “By investing in MEGCs, we’re securing critical infrastructure for HyHaul and ensuring our logistics model is future-ready, flexible, and aligned with the UK’s net-zero ambitions.”

“Luxfer is thrilled to be partnering with Reynolds for the supply of our GStore Hydrosphere MEGC’s.” said Mark Lawday, VP and General Manager at Luxfer Gas Cylinders.  “HyHaul is leading the way in the UK and demonstrating real world hydrogen logistics using our market leading lightweight transport solutions. Luxfer is excited to support this project and looks forward to its expansion in the future.”

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to lead in clean fuel transport! 🚚💨

Element 1 Project first delivery to site

This week, Reynolds Logistics successfully delivered a Hydrogen MEGC filled with Green Hydrogen from GeoPura’s site in Doncaster to a construction site in Manchester. This significant delivery marks the start of Element One, an innovative project funded by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero.

Element One aims to accelerate the replacement of diesel on construction sites, demonstrating the potential for green hydrogen in powering construction machinery and providing site energy. The project unites industry leaders from various sectors, including BAM and Skanska (construction), Flannery and Plantforce (plant hire), ULEMCo and GeoPura (hydrogen sector), Reynolds Logistics, and BRE (Research and Technical Organisation).

In the next phase, Reynolds Logistics will operate a mobile hydrogen fuel bowser between two additional construction sites, further validating the concept with more excavators.
