What we are looking for

Key Responsibilities include: 

• Undertake vehicle/tank inspection checking on both internal and external condition, completing inspection report for fleet department.
• Manage day to day running of the deport parking area ensuring structured parking of all vehicles/tanks.
• Travel to other sites as and when required to completed specific duties as direct my line manager. (hire vehicle provided).
• Supervise on tank swaps.
• Undertake tank equipment checks relating to both number and condition, reporting finding to fleet department and local transport management.
• Ensure yard cleanliness and reporting any maintenance issues.
• Abiding by company standards i.e., Health & Safety Policy, Fire Safety, Policy Statement etc.
• Assist with fleet audits.
• Carry out any reasonable ad-hoc duties that are requested.
• Report directly to Fleet Engineering Manager.

Skills and Competency:

• Previous experience as a Yardman, foreman or in a similar role preferable (experience with trucks desirable).
• HGV Class 1 licence (CE) essential.
• ADR license preferred but not essential.
• Experience within the transport industry would be an advantage.
• Quality organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks using your own initiative at the same time.
• Ability to prioritize own workload but also be able to work as part of a team.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal.
• Conversant in IT skills e.g., Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
• Must have an analytical skill, with a high level of attention to detail.
